HOW CAN I
HELP?
If you want to help in the preparation ahead of the festival, that’s great. We are a very small group of organisers (4-6 people), so help is always appreciated. Right now, we need help with several tasks that we are struggling with:
- Spread the poster!
If you are in Amsterdam, you can grab some posters at the anarchist bookshop Fort van Sjakoo on Jodenbreestraat 24. Please only take as many posters as you will actually spread. When you are spreading the posters, please follow the instructions on this Cryptpad so we can keep track of where we still need to poster and don’t hesitate to add locations to it.
If you would like to have the poster file to print it yourself, especially if you are in a different locality, download the file here. Spread it in whatever form you like, no need for a professional print! This is the best way we can spread outside of our common networks. - Follow us on instagram!
Share this instagram post with your network, post stories, send it directly. Remind people of the open call (open within a week). We also hate instagram and will set up alternatives soon. - Help us manage social media and set up alternative social media!
Again, we hate social media. None of us like doing it. Some people do! If that’s you, please get in touch. If you have experience with Mastodon or the like, please also get in touch. - Menial computer tasks
There are plenty of little tasks. If you have some spare time you can spend on your laptop, please get in touch. - Recommend funds in Palestine and Lebanon for the fundraiser.
If you are in touch with people on the ground who know which organisations are trustworthy, please share your knowledge. We prefer sending money to organisations, not individuals. - Talk to people about the festival!
Hype each other up, come up with funny ideas, ask locations you are in touch with to host the festival, think of other ideas to get involved. This is a shared festival that only gets better the more of us are involved. - Donate to the festival.
We are an unfunded DIO (do it ourselves) festival. But to make sure that everyone is taken care of during the festival, we provide food to all participants. This is mainly skipped food but some costs will likely occur. Apart from that, we cannot promise everyone coming from afar to cover travel costs, but if we can make some small contribution, that’s nice. We will setup a direct donation system to the festival soon (help also here welcome, none of us want our bank accounts attached), but for now we encourage you to organise fundraising events of any kind. Also, come to our VOKU at Joe’s Garage in Amsterdam on July 20th, 19.00, to eat with us and donate directly in cash!
