The performance is loosely inspired by theatrical work “L’Histoire du Soldat” by Igor Stravinsky, reinterpreted in an abstract style. Of the original three characters, only one remains on stage: the devil, which in our case is an original string puppet designed by the milanese artist Luigi Veronesi in 1981. Taking further inspiration from Luigi Veronesi’s theories about the direct correlation between visual frequencies (shape/colour) and audio frequencies (sound), the performance aims to create a live dialogue, a graphic and sonic discourse, between the three elements: sound, shape/colour, movement, exploring how they interact with one another and influence each other in real time.
