Oct. 3 – 14:30 – Spui through Kalverstraat to Bijenkorf – possibly three hours
Meli, Jernej, Alberte
A group of drag- and clown-inspired creatures wanders through the streets of Amsterdam. Moving through Kalverstraat, De Bijenkorf, and the surrounding area, we interrupt the familiar rhythms of the city with voice, improvisation, songs, chants, and unexpected encounters. Each performer brings their own character, costume, objects, stories, and political urgencies, allowing the work to shift continuously in response to the people and places we meet. There is no fixed stage and no single script. The performance unfolds through collective play, spontaneous interactions, and moments of absurdity, tenderness, grief, resistance, and celebration. An invitation to pause, look differently, join in, or simply wonder what is happening.
Intersecting with Frantic Antic, another commercially disruptive clown show, and crossing a host of programmes on Dam Square!
