Radu-Mihai’s practice is an autoethnographic exploration into the Balkan masculine experience acting as a vector of negotiating both cultural dysphoria and euphoria, and along, elastic forms of identity and a politics of non-polarization within the boundaries of the European continent. Amongst others, he researches the archetype of the Incel to first explore and then better understand how masculinity is being shifted by patriarchy and other forms of ideology, while also using escapism as a political tool for imagining patterns of perceiving and organizing beyond binary identities. The (pre-) Ottoman Balkan history, culture and traditions are used as evidence for speculative and sustainable modes of post-ideological co-existing.
